Special Session III: Materials Engineering & Mechanical Design
The session aims at providing a suitable environment for researchers to view their scientific products, exchange information and experiences, and to bring participants up-to date on recent developments in the field of material's engineering & its applications and in the field of mechanical design and to establish working contacts between the participants.
The objectives of the session are focused, but not limited on
- Biomaterials (processing, characterization, development)
- Eng. of Ceramic & Building Materials.
- Smart Materials
- Analyses and characterization of polymer and rubber
- Materials Processing
- Modeling in Material's Eng.
- Modeling in mechanical design

Chairman:
Dr. Haydar Al-Ethari
Dr. Haydar Al-Ethari obtained his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Mosul
University/IRQ. He obtained his M.Sc. and PhD degrees in metal cutting. He is
interested and a researcher in manufacturing and machining processes field of
composites and light metals, mechanics of materials and mechanical design, stress
analysis and mechanical behavior of metals and alloys. He is a member of
international domestic scientific conferences, as well as a member of evaluation and
graduation committees. He is also a reviewer of articles in many distinguished
journals and conferences (also registered in, WoS, and Scopus databases). Currently,
he is an author of more than 100 papers at home and abroad, as well as 2 books.
Currently, he is a professor at the University of Babylon-College of Materials
Engineering. He is a Team Leader of M.Sc. and PhD students in Metallurgical
Engineering Department to develop mechanical and physical characteristics and
machinability of advanced materials.
